It’s fine now but wasn’t a couple of minutes ago….I’ll bet it’s just because I’m still using IE7.
I didn’t download IE8 when it first came out because I heard it had some glitches and was advised to wait awhile. Then, I just forgot about it! Do you suppose I ought to bite the bullet and switch to it? Will I have to update my homepage or other stuff after I download it? (As you might guess, it’s been a looooong time since I downloaded IE7, so I’ve forgotten if it was a hassle or not!)
@Sue, If you’re going to switch browsers I would recommend trying Google Chrome instead. It’s much faster, more secure, more compatible with Web standards, and keeps itself updated automatically. http://www.google.com/chrome/
Okay….I, who hates ‘change,’ have downloaded and begun to use Google Chrome……*grumble, grumble*…..this had better be worth it!…..*grumble, grumble*…..it looks different…..I’m not used to this….it had better be faster…..and, again–*grumble, grumble*…..
Well, despite the fact that I no longer have cable or satellite tv, no longer have a cell phone, have become a cloistered nun (just kidding about that last one), I am willing to give this change a try!
I’m really not technologically ignorant, just prefer things to be simple…..and to stay the same!
Okay, this is not grumbling, just a fact of Google Chrome life, I guess….it does not support the Yahoo toolbar. Unfortunately, I have my most used functions on my Yahoo toolbar!
Looks good from here! Amazing how better it “feels” to look at the pages without those unwanted characters. Thanks, Doug! Now I’m going to take a look at Google Chrome…
