Ive posted many questions…sorry. My question now is should I stick with just Copywork or has anyone used queens language lessons? I have a 5th and 3rd grader I would be doing this for. My 5th grader is actually at a second grade level so I thought this would help him better right now our schedule looks like this

    900-1000 science nature /read aloud history,literature,poetry,hymns…ect

10-1030 spelling wisdom/using language well (This is where I see that the words are kind of hard and I stopped  I just started to use McGuffey readers for Copywork and thought I’d replace this with queen lessons)

    1030-1100 Math

    1100-1115  beginning cursive letters

1115-1200 children reading aloud to me (pathways)

    Lunch

Afternoon is more enrichment time, read alouds, composer, artists ect

I am using Queen LL this year.  It is all a typed font.  It is working well for us this year, but I will look for something different next year.  There are some short grammar and creative writing lessons and much copywork of mostly poems.  If you just want copywork, do something else.  I use a variety of writing styles and have found many we liked on currclick.  Pick only one resource to use at a time though.

There are sample pages on Queen’ s website and Rainbow Resource.

    Hi Kimberly,

Are you currently using or tried the SCM resources “Print to Cursive” or “Hymns in Prose”?  Those provide copy work and are good pre-ULW or, if your child has a particular sentence that strikes him from a poem, hymn or reading, you could generate a copy work worksheet using an online generator.

    Best,

    Richele
