Does anyone have a book recommendation on Queen E or Sir Francis for girls? My oldest is 7th grade, the youngest is 2nd grade. I’m looking for either a book to read aloud or to assign my oldest.

    Thanks!

Eva March Tappan wrote a biography on Queen Elizabeth that is quite good. My daughter really enjoyed it. It would be a good read aloud for youngers and upper elementary through middle school would be easily able to read it on their own. My daughter read it in 8th grade and it was her favorite history book of the year.

We listened to the dramatized Under Drake’s Flag……and I’m ashamed to say that I didn’t make the connection to Queen Elizabeth or to Drake being famous for being first to sail around the world ?!

We did enjoy the drama, though……I can’t remember if I borrowed it from the library or what. Hmmmm.

And thanks for the recommendation of the Tappan book. I’ll look for that. ?

We read The Royal Diaries, Elizabeth I.

    We liked it.
