@Corie, I wanted to let you know Amazon has a great deal on “Today’s Deal” for Prismacolor.
It is the 72-pencil set for $49.95. Not cheap but this is really a good deal. This set is $100 at any of the big-box chains like Jo-Anns or Michaels, so would be more than this with a typical 40% off coupon. Plus with Amazon, it ships free and no sales tax.

Thanks so much LDIMom! I ended up finding some seemingly halfway decent quality watercolor pencils on clearance at Hobby Lobby. It is a small set, but I think these will work for us over the course of our move, and if the children really seem to love them, I will purchase the Prisma or something of equal quality. I am grateful for the heads-up to watch Amazon. I don’t know why, by I hadn’t previously thought to look on Amazon for colored pencils!
