  • In addition to leisure reading during quiet hour, I would like to give my older ones a puzzle to work on together. But i seem to only find too easy, or too hard selections. Anyone have any favorites, and if so where did you get them?

    Thank you!

What size of puzzles (I assume you mean Jigsaw?) is he doing?

Also, my son has recently discovered crossword puzzles (very easy ones) and I plan to introduce child level Soduku…

Yes, jigsaw style. 🙂 We haven’t done any bigger than 60 or so, but I think 100 would be fine for now.

Good idea about crossword puzzles and Suduko. I may add a little of those for variety.

Don’t underestimate your kids doing a 500! Never imagined my 8 yr old completing one on his own. But he did, and is on his 3rd one! He feels like he has acomplished something! He is working on the Capital now. He did work his way up though!

I live in a small town..but our Walmart has a variety of puzzles to choose from. FYI

    Have fun!

I think that if you can have a dedicated board to the puzzle, a 300-500 is perfect.  Then you can just leave it up – and throw in an audiobook some evening and listen while you all “puzzle” together.  =)

Great ideas! I never would have thought to look at Walmart for good puzzles. I guess this means I have to go there. 🙂

    Thank you all!

As a different option, try the Geopuzzles. They’re a fun way to keep up with geography.
