Paula Spicer ParticipantWe just finished up homeschooling in the woods explorers. I really liked it but I think it threw so many explorers out at the kids they are getting them mixed up. I thought it might be neat to learn the natives that these explorations destroyed. I have found a couple of resources online to use, but would like some sort of hands on projects to do. While I would to have an alpaca farm, it isn’t in our budget right now (they are VERY expensive creatures 🙂 Anyone have any ideas for this or done this before?
thanks
paula
kjdevore ParticipantI have a book recommendation. All of my boys have loved Sonlight’s Incans, Aztecs, and Mayans book. I thought it was dry, but two of my boys loved it so much that they cried when they finished it.
Sara B. Participantkjdevore, do you have a link to the Sonlight book? I am also looking to add in some North American ancients for my 4th grader. I tried checking out a few books from the library, but boy, are they dry and boring!
