Problem with adding divisions (again!)

My account is having issues with divisions again. I put in 5 divisions under CHAT Co-op, and it keeps deleting some of them, so now there are one 1, 3, and 4. there are supposed to be 5, all with the same title. i don’t really understand why this is happening again?? thanks, laura

That is so strange, Laura. Thanks for letting us know right away and for giving the details. I’ve forwarded the info on to our programmer so he can take a look. In the past whenever this issue has occurred, we haven’t been able to duplicate the error, and it’s hard to fix something you can’t see. Hopefully, this info this will help us track down that elusive bug and eliminate it. I’ll keep you posted.

Laura, the programmer is asking if you could let us know the exact steps you were taking prior to the divisions disappearing. For example, did you enter the resource information with the 5 divisions and hit Save & Schedule, then when it popped into the Scheduler the divisions were gone? Or had you already scheduled the resource but not checked off any work, and today noticed the divisions were wrong? Any of those details will help immensely. Feel free to leave them here or e-mail them to me at (my name) @ (the name of this site). Thanks!

Sonya, agh my kids just deleted my whole response here! i entered my new resource, entered 5 division, hit go, names them all, then went to save and schedule, then saved it for my daughter and the days of the week, and then went to the scheduler, viewed the resource, and saw that even though the summary shows that we will complete lesson 1-5, only four of the divisions were shown. so i then went to “edit” and deleted all the deivisions, re entered them, and then went to view the resource again and this time there were only 3 divisions. (same thing that happned with the piano resource i added before, same steps) i hope this helps!

oh yeah, i checked off day one as completed today. the problem was evident as soon as i viewed the resource for the very first time.

It happened again!! I just added “Jazz and Hip Hop” with 8 divisions, this time hit “save” and then went to “schedule it” and these are my divisions now — HELP!!!
Lessons:
1 – Class 1

3 – Class 3

4 – Class 4

6 – Class 6

8 – Class 8

also, i had to add back in The usborne First Encyclopedia of the World as a resource because it got messed up when i added titles to the Lessons after i had checked some were completed, and then i had two of the resources under the scheduler for some reason, and when i tried to delete only one of them, it deleted the resource from my added resources. I added it back it without schedling it so it wouldn’t mess up the one that is already added, but it still deleted the first lesson out of the 18 that i scheduled, so it now begins with lesson 2, intead of lesson 1. something so odd is going on, but i figured i should let you know about it since has still affected my divisions again.

My “More Mudpies to Magnets” is messed up also – those divisions have ALSO disappeared and the remaining ones placed out of order when i tried to edit the schedule.

i’m definitely not sure if this has anything to do with it, but if memory serves me, when i go in and add divisions or change the names of them, that is when the problem arises, and all those times, the box under the divisions that says “add (blank) more divisions”, i have deleted the number in the blank and then either saved or saved and scheduled. maybe when there isn’t a “1” in the box, then the issue comes up? i just did that with the CHATT Co-op resource and it’s now fixed, showing the 5 divisions properly. or did the programmer fix it??

Mudpies to Magnets finally is corrected – i had to delete all the divisions except for the first one, add back 5 divisions, retitle two of the new ones, then change the divisions to add box to say 1, then save. it still deleted one of the divisions, so i did that all over again, it deleted one division again, but then i did it a third time and it appears to be okay for now. hopefully when i go to add names to the remaining divisions and when i need to add more divisions, it will not get all messed up.

is it possible to have the programmer “undelete” my Usborne encyclopedia of the world? it is still functional in my daily plan (fortunately) but although i had re-added it as a resource, it appears to be gone again. i’ll need it for my other 2 kids eventually. if not, just let me know and i will re-add it again. thank you!

I have added “jazz and hip hop” back in (i assume the programmer deleted this since it was faulty). i have tried to get it to show the 8 divisions without deleting some of them. i’ve had to go in and do what i described in the previous posting – this time deleting all the divisions that were out of order, and adding the new amount i need to have 8 total, changing the divisions to add to 1, save, then go to the bookfinder, view added resources, click on “schedule it” under jazz and hip hop, and then see what is out of order, go in and make the appropriate changes, etc, etc. i had to do this about 8 times to get it to finally show correctly. i did not put any names in the divisions. i am hoping the programmer will find this soon! it is very frustrating! (although i still love this scheduler)
