I generally like a printed book in my hands. I will say, however, I really like Spelling Wisdom and Using language Well in ebook format. I was able to print them out double sided so that the corresponding lessons faced each other. So when my kids open their book SW lesson 1 is on the left and ULW lesson 1 is on the right. Very handy. Last year I was copying the SW lessons out of my physical book for them to study anyway, having the ebook is just easier.
I am a paper girl. I will almost always pick the paper version if available.
In fact…. There are several free ebooks available from Simply CM that I have put off reading simply because they are not “in my hands”. I wish they were available in print to purchase. They would be great to pass along to family + friends who are interested in learning more about the CM method.
I am hands down a put the book in my hands kinda woman, but with homeschooling, I have found that ebooks have been most helpful.
The first one that swayed me was a free resource I got from Marsha Washburn I think? Called Beethoven I think. LOL Anyway, I decided to use it for our music curriculum one year. It is an ebook and it has link to click that automatically open to videos of composers so we can hear a particular song, symphony, or whatever.
I purchased a dongle that allows my computer to project onto my tv screen and so all the kids could sit comfortable and read along with me through the ebook and when I clicked the link, it would start the videos and we enjoyed this very much for the year.
Since that went so well, I have now found ways to incorporate more ebooks in and save money, but I only do it on resources I know I won’t want keep.
