    Hello,

I’m looking for a CM style paper planner – I searched the forum and found some recommendations from

a few years ago but as far as I could tell they are no longer available:(

Anyone have a planner they love? Thanks:)

I just made my own. I have a check list with each day’s schedule and all the extra subjects we do one time a week are on a another page in a loop. So each day of the week we do 2 loop subjects, whichever 2 are next on the list. (Hymn, composer, artist, folk, habits, poetry, Shakespere, book of centuries)

i found last year that we were more likely to miss certain days of the week compared to others and so those subjects got missed more. This way I’m not behind in one.

Thank you! Yes, would love to see it…I have always just made notes in a planner with weekly layouts but I will now have 3 students to teach and I’m trying to figure out how to get organized for individual subjects/readings and the things we do together…. I was hoping to find pages where I could plug info in;)

    Thanks again!

I have spent years trying to find the perfect planner for us, and this year I decided (like Kayla) I was just going to put one together based on what I liked best about several planners I have seen. This is a planner that I am working on for my 5th grader for next year. Specific lesson numbers will be added in as we go through the year, and more detailed descriptions are on my lesson plans. This isn’t complete yet, but it’s just an example of how you could put a planner together yourself. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1xStbCzdEdfNF-tGkEY5G6MpldGnSUvcJ0dlUQiWI2-w

The format is coming up a little off when I open up that link on my phone (maybe it’s just my phone), but I don’t know how to just post a screen shot of the document. Hopefully you can all get the idea of what it “should” look like. 😉

This is very helpful, thank you so much! The format was perfect when I opened it on my desktop – thank you for the inspiration!

So, thanks to you I have been inspired to learn how to use google docs…is trial and error my best bet? How did you create the sections in your document? By adding tables? Thanks again!

I really love the look of your pages. I am wondering *how* you fell them in? Do you type the info in weekly? Or for each term? I can’t imagine you could do this before the school year starts, for the whole year? I make plans for the week and then life happens, and we have to reschedule and sometime drop things. Would you mind explaining how you use this beautiful tool?

I just started using Google docs this year (after much frustration with free word processing programs like OpenOffice) and, yes, I just learned by trial and error. A couple of specific things I needed help with I would google my question and was able to figure it out from there. I did just create a table for each section and just changed the background color of certain sections I wanted to highlight. I will add in specific assignments at the beginning of each week before I print off their assignment sheet, just in case we have to compensate for sick days or field trip days. 🙂
