Principles of Mathematics – reviews? Study time arithmetic 8 also

I’d love to hear from those who have finished book 1 and 2 of Principles of Mathematics by Masterbooks for 7/8th grade.
I’d also love to hear from those who completed both in one year.

I purchased book one to look through and it is incredibly interesting, however the entire book until the last quarter or so looks to be review for my daughter who will be completing Math Lessons for a Living Education 6 this spring. I hesitate to take an entire year to go over these topics again, though I can see that it is a thorough explanation and helps to really solidify the concepts.

I am also considering Arithmetic 8 by Study Time. 7th grade looks to be 80% review as well, so we would skip to 8th. The topics covered and real life problems look so interesting to me! I’m not sure if it would be considered PreAlgebra or if we would need a PreAlgebra course after. If anyone has used it I’d love to hear!
