Ooooh Yay! I was just thinking today how I need to find some new activity ideas for my 3 yr old for when I need to do some school with my high schooler. I can’t wait to see the ideas on the site you listed. Thanks for sharing!

Just started looking at the stie. Here’s an idea: instead of using the ziploc bags, why not try the see-through plastic boxes that you can get at stores like Walmart that usually are different sizes? Then just stack the boxes together. I first thought of the plastic crayon/pencil boxes that always go on sale this time of year for back-to-school might work but it’s not overly easy to see through the lids. But for my little one, she would probably really like the element of surprise not knowing what’s in the box. 🙂 Anyway, just an idea.

I am going to get the plastic see through boxes too, Mrs K. Looks much nicer on a bookshelf!

lol you are very welcome! I was excited to find such great ideas. I just google searched preschool activity bags. I never did these with my older 2 and since I only have a pre-k’er for ONE More year, thought we’d do some fun stuff! My older girls will want to play with activities too. lol
I bought the Melissa and Doug pattern blocks set at Border’s since they are going out of business to add to our pre k shelf.

The plastic boxes would definitely look more organized on a shelf, wouldn’t they? 🙂 I just noticed that I had a typo in my earlier reply. I meant to type “site” and not “stie”. LOL

My favorite suggestion from this link is to buy a cheap small blow up round pool, put the toddler in it, and let the toddler make a mess in whatever……..paint, playdough, dry rice, etc…….then afterward, just put the pull outside to clean it and store it away in the garage. I wish I thought of this 1-2 years ago when my dc were toddlers (they are now 5&3)….would have saved my kitchen many messes.
