I have been thinking about getting the ebook on making those bags, and I finally did today. I just wanted to say that from what I see so far, I really like it. I will have a limited amount that I can use, since my son will just barely be 3 by the time we start school, but I can see it coming in handy for the next several years till he’s old enough for school. I bought both preschool e-books and it was much cheaper than the “real” book.
Hope that helps if anyone was looking into that.

Thanks, Alice. I use a ton of preschool games and activities with my young ones during school too. I get free games from File Folder Fun. I like them because they are easy to make, fun to use, and don’t take up much room for storage. They also have some for older children so when my younger do it, they know they are doin school too. =) Just thought I’d share that.

I bought this and a group of moms put the activities together. I made 10 of the same thing and each of the other 9 moms did the same, then we swapped. It was a good way to get variety and was easier to make 10 of the same thing. Unfortunately dd3 didn’t like most of the activities, but the few she liked we kept.

We have these too. I did two swaps, one with 20 activities, one with 10 so I now have 30 different bags along with file folder games and take-em-to-your-seat bags from and education store. This is a book that I cut and laminate from and put in cute bags, same type of things but all paper. Anyway, there are activities that I can adapt for even my 8 year old, though not as much anymore! But she does help “teach” her younger sister sometimes. My 5yo can still use about half of them without being too easy, and my eldest with special needs uses them a lot still. They are good for olders to use with youngers and when we have our next they will come in handy again! I highly recomend the time and effort to make them!

These look fantastic…will definitely have to look into getting the book! Thanks! As a mom of one preschooler whose husband is about to be out of town for two months, I could DEFINITELY use some extra self-guided activities sitting around. I struggle with how to keep him occupied while I am writing and doing housework. This should help.

I looked at the file folder games site and I love it! I will need to stock up on some ink for our printer, and get to work! I’m trying to get things ready for when school starts up again this summer. I’m worried how I’ll get much school done with my almost 3yo, but hopefully this will be a big help! I also like how the file folder site has games for older kids too!

You are welcome. My 3 yr old and 2 yr old both love them! There is also a fun place to get activity ideas for teaching alphabet and numbers: Alphabet Station and Number Station. We are using those for “school” for the littles too, because they want to be involved so much. =) Thanks for the activity bag info.
