Prepared Dictation

    My daughter is doing dictations in the second half of Spelling Wisdom Book 2.  It has been excellent for helping her with spelling.  My concern is every time she writes it as one long sentence since the focus is spelling and not grammar or writing. Is that fine?

    It is my understanding she should be paying attention to the punctuation as well. Good writing will develop from copying good writing, so you dont want bad habits to start.

    Thank you.  I just realized in the front of the Spelling Wisdom it says to have them be familiar with the punctuation as well as the spelling.  I read that at the beginning of the year and then forgot!
