Ladies my oldest son Jake (8) is having his second eye surgery this year. The first surgery failed and it was a really painful recovery. He is very nervous about today. He told me that it helps him knowing people are praying for him. I ask my fb friends to pray and people from all over the world have posted that they are praying. I ask Jake if he wanted me to read those notes to him last night and he ask me to wait until right before surgery. He gets it!! Will you please pray for him this morning. Thank you much!!
Jake, please know that there are people who do not know you (and probably never will) that love the Lord and will lift your name up to Him. He knows you, loves you, and hears our prayers for you.
I pray right now that Jake will feel and know the hand of the Lord on him as he goes into surgery and through the whole procedure. I pray for a quick and pain free recovery time for him afterwards and that the hands of the doctors would be guided by the Holy Spirit and that this would be a successful procedure without any complications whatsoever. I pray that Jake would feel the Joy of the Lord and that this would be his strength and comfort today and afterwards.
I pray peace and comfort for Jake, Lord. He is a little anxious about the surgery. He is trying to be brave, Lord. Help him today, right now, to rest easy in Your arms, with Your support, knowing that You love him very very much and that You are in control. Give him freedom from worry and bless his doctors Lord. You gave them their gifts, please help them maximize those gifts today. Bless Jake and his whole family as they wait for news of the results from this surgery. Be with each one, Lord. I faithfully pray this in the strong name of your Son, Jesus Christ.
Praying for you, Jake! Surgeries can really be hard to handle and it’s so wonderful for you to say that hearing prayers helps you through them. My daughter, Ruby, just had her 9th surgery last Tuesday. She’s almost 11 years old and was born with a cleft lip and palate. The Lord has always used those situations to tell someone in the hospital about the Lord, so I pray that perhaps you can share the Lord with others as well while you’re recovering! The power and comfort of prayers is a great testimony to share! Feel better soon!
