My DD has a bad sinus infection, complicated by her lung disease and asthma. I had her fever down to 101 most of the evening. About 8, I gave her a breathing treatment, some tea and some motrin and put her to bed. I got a shower, and when I came out her temp was back up, she was having trouble breathing and was in horrible pain mostly from her head and ears. We had several long hours of coughing until she threw up, eye goop, ear pain, a hot shower/bath for her, crying, praying, and trying to find something on TV at 9-10 at night that was okay for her to watch. It took a lot of intervention, most of it divine, but she finally went back to sleep about 45 minutes ago. I’m still up…It’s just tough. 7 years of chronic illness and it still doesn’t get easier. It still hurts for both of us.
So…sorry to vent and sprung all this on you. My sister, the person I’d usual call on a night like this, is on vacation. Okay, I’m gonna try to go to bed now, as it’s after midnight and I need to check on Kelsey again. Thanks for anyone who listened!
Thank you all! it means a lot to us. She’s not well yet, but I think the worst is over (knocks frantically on wood) and today is a better day. Her fever is down again hovering around 101, and she’s relaxing with coloring books and soup. Her nose is a mess and her ears still hurt, but she’s getting there. Thanks again for all the prayers!
Just thought I’d share that the antibiotics have kicked in and Kelsey is feeling MUCH better now…still not 100%, but getting there. Thanks for all the prayers!
