Praise God. I was so glad to hear these babies are doing better. The Lord is already working his wondrous miracles. I could have just cried when I heard there is improvement. I am believing our Lord is working wonders and all the doctors and everyone involved will see it. So good to hear.
Just wanted to post an update that both twins are continuing to hold their own and make improvements. They have both been able to move forward in their breathing (moving from a ventilator to a CPAP machine to a cannula) and with less oxygen being given to them and both mom and dad have had the chance to hold them both several times over the last several days. Thank you so much for your prayers for this sweet family! God is working.
Thanks for the update. What a great Christmas present for that family. I could just cry thinking of it. It sure has made mine. God is so good. Merry Christsmas all sisters in Christ.
Praise God, that is great news, this is a wonderful place to be, because now there is real hope that things will continue to move forward in a good way. I remember when the girls progressed to canulas and we could hold them for the first time, it was about 2 weeks after the birth, and it was such a joy and a blessing when that happened. I will pray for continued progress, thanks for the update, it is wonderful news. Linda
Both of the twins have experienced some setbacks in the last day or 2. Most concerning of these is that their son has developed hydrocephalus. (This is the same one who had bleeding on the brain.) Because of this, he is being transferred to another hospital. Normally, he would need to recieve a shunt to drain the fluid for this, but at this point he is still too small. Also, their insurance will not allow their daughter to be moved along with her brother. I guess the two hospitals are only about 7 minutes apart, but you can see the additional stress this places on their family.
Please continue to pray for healing for these sweet babies, wisdom for the doctors who are treating them, and peace and strengh for mom and dad in this difficult time. Pray also that they will be able to work out something with their insurance that would allow both babies to be treated together in the same hospital.
Praying for these little babies and their parents….I am so sorry to hear of the set backs. It is stressful enough to be 24/7 in the NICU watching your tiny babies fight for life, but to have them in two different places is very hard, my heart goes out to them. This story is bringing back many memories to me of a time 19 years ago…
I am sad to hear that hydrocephalus has set in, that is a very tough break especially as he is unable to have the shunt – special prayers needed for this little man…the brain bleed can be damaging enough, this just adds to the worry for the parents. I shall pray for a miracle and a wonderful Christmas gift of healing for this family……Linda
Please continue to pray for these sweet babies. Their son, who was transferred to a different hospital last week due to hydrocephalus, will be undergoing surgery tomorrow to insert a reservoir into his head to help drain the extra fluid. He is too small yet to recieve a shunt, which would be the normal procedure. There are a number of risks involved in this surgery, but it is riskier still to leave the hydrocephalus untreated. They have asked for prayer that his body will withstand the surgery, and that it will have the desired outcome. Please continue to pray for complete healing and strength for these little ones. Their daughter continues to hold steady, and they have both been labelled as “fighters” by the medical staff.
I have a friend who has a son 6 years old now. When she was first pregnant with him, the doctor said she would not carry him to term due to so many defects and that she should abort the pregnancy. Her faith and our prayers were heard and now he is a very active 6 year old who just will not slow down at all. Such a blessing!!!
They do still struggle with kidney issues but those are becoming further and further apart. His dad was an exact match for him and gave his son a new kidney a couple of years ago.
God does hear our prayers!!! Tell the family to stay strong and know God is with them during this time.
I am here praying…… Miracles do happen! I believe God will heal this little boy. I ask you Father to give him strength through all of this. I pray strength and patience for his weary parents. I ask you to lift them up and give them a renewed strength. Help them to keep their faith and not faulter. I ask you father to give the doctors contiued wisdom. Steady their hands as they preform surgery on this little boy. I ask you father to let them see the further picture. I pray they trust in you as they work on him. Thank You father for transferring him to a better facility. We trust that you have the best doctors available here to take care of all his needs. We pray the insurance company and the doctors work together to bring the babies back together if it is your will. We trust that you know what is best for him. We know you do everything for a good reason. We ask that you help us see that reason. Show us your blessings Father. In your precious name. Amen
Praying here too…..my heart goes out to them…we have to trust God’s plan in this instance – let go, let God – which is hard for parents in these situations as I know only too well. The babies are in the best place for them right now, and he is in a place with expertise to handle his set back. Please let us know how it goes….I will pray for them all..Linda
Thank you for your continued prayers and encouragement for this sweet family. The good news is that the surgery to insert a reservoir in their son’s brain went well…everything went as well as could be expected with that, PTL. The bad news is that some other labwork that was done indicates that he is suffering from meningitis. They are grateful they discovered this before he became to sick, and after they had completed the surgery successfully. Please continue to pray for healing.
