  • I just wanted to ask for prayers.  My husband has said to me that he is going to go to church with us tomorrow.  He is not saved and has never gone with us.  So, my prayers would be against Satan from distracting or hardening his heart in anyway between tonight and tomorrow.  He is at work, the fire station, and will get home around 8:30 am. I will not go to Sunday school tomorrow, our church service starts at 11am.

My emotions go from Giddy to disbelief to tears, it has been 9 years since I was saved and started praying for him.

    Thanks

I’m standing with you both as well.  Let His peace reign in you no matter the morning’s outcome – victory will come.

Praying for your husband’s heart to be open to hearing God’s Word this morning!  Gina

Melanie, I am praying as well – I pray that this is the start of a wonderful new life of sharing God’s word, love and His grace.

Thanks for your prayers, he did go to church with me.  It was very distracting, he laughed at the lady singing (who was very off key) and played with his Iphone during the service.  I guess he is at least there being exposed to the Word.  The preacher had a great message from John 12

20Now there were some Greeks among those who went up to worship at the Feast. 21They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, with a request. “Sir,” they said, “we would like to see Jesus.” 22Philip went to tell Andrew; Andrew and Philip in turn told Jesus.

23Jesus replied, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. 24I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. 25The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. 26Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.

It was a good message, not about comdemnation but about what Jesus did for us.

I am glad he went with you, and hopefully will go again next week.  Sometimes I guess we need to find patience with our loved ones when they don’t quite do as expected.  I am sure he may have felt a little uncomfortable being his first time; hopefully as each week goes by it will get better and better.   I have a neighbor whose husband refused to go to church, they have only been married 6 years – a few months ago, he suddenly decided to go and he has been going ever since.  He has even started going to a Sunday school group for men – so who knows what will happaen.  I will continue to pray.  I am sure you are thrilled he made the effort and hopefully he will see what it means to you and your children.  God bless.
