Prayer for homeschooling family

I am asking for prayers for a homeschooling family of 8 who suffered a house fire two days ago. Their kids range from kindergarten to high school. The fire was contained to just a room or so, but the youngest two girls and the three boys have lost all of their personal belongings. They are currently living in a hotel until they can find a place to rent during the cleanup and repair period. The good news is that everyone got out safely, even their pets.

While you’re at it, if you could throw in a quick prayer for me & a friend of mine, we’d appreciate it. The woman whose house burned is in charge of our co-op, and she was supposed to lead the session this Tuesday. In light of everything, my friend and I, who were supposed to lead the session on Asia next month, have volunteered to do it this month instead. So, we have to put together four “stations” with info & activities for a range of 6 & up on the continent of Asia. I have the task of covering maps, country names, mountains, climate (and whatever else I choose to throw in) for one station, and the other station will focus on cultural things like languages, foods, religions, etc. My friend is working on India, rivers of China, and missionaries.

So….if anyone knows of any resources (especially hands-on activities) related to this, I’d be blessed to hear about them. I’ll take a weekend of frantic co-op preparation over a house fire any day.
