Practice material for outlining?

    Does anyone have any suggestions on material I could use for teaching a beginner to outline?

    I am not looking for “how to” information.  I am trying to decide what to have my kids use to practice outlining.  I read an article that suggested fables but those seem kind of tedious.

    Look at charlotte mason help. Year 5, I think.  I used her geo. articles for teaching the skill.

    Yes, I looked there earlier and her recommendation was articles @ infoplease but I did not see anything there that would work very well.  Maybe I am missing something.  I know that for older years she recommends Ourselves and possibly another source.

    I thought of using The Story of the Greeks?

    Thanks missceegee for sending this link, but it did not work.  I had my dh try it and he could not get it to open either.  If possible could you send it again or in a different format?  Thanks again!

    Sorry about that. It was in Pages format (Mac only). I’ve converted to PDF and uploaded to Box.net.

    Here is the link to all of the lessons in one file. I used this to teach a group of 14 kids in 4th-7th grades last year.

    Let me know if you can open this one. Sorry about before.  I usually try to convert from pages before I link, but I forgot that time.
