I just noticed that Practical Homeschooling has their Reader Awards nomination ballot online. Unfortunately, the deadline is July 15 so you have to hurry if you want to participate.

Now we would be thrilled if you liked some of our products enough to nominate them, but I would encourage everyone to nominate any worthy homeschool products even if they are not ours. These are the products that will later show up as choices in the magazine’s reader awards and it would be great to have some good representation of CM-style resources.

By the way, they have a prize drawing for a nice hardcover The Pilgrim’s Progress (Collector’s Edition) and you are entered by submitting any nomination.

Done and Done! How could we pass up such an opportunity! For SCM I mean, not even thinking about the prize, I just want everyone to know about these products..the ballot form gives you room to nominate 5 different products!

I know this is an older thread, but I was just reading the Jan/Feb/Mar 2014 issue of Practical Homeschooling magazine that I picked up from the library, and I was perusing the 2014 Practical Homeschooling Reader Awards Winners. Lo and behold, I saw the name Simply Charlotte Mason under several categories–hooray!

These are the awards SCM won, by category:

Unit Studies: Second Place (tied) for Family Study Handbook series

Bible Curriculum: Honorable Mention for Simply Charlotte Mason Bible Studies

Handwriting: Honorable Mention for Delightful Handwriting

Spelling: Third Place (tied) for Spelling Wisdom

History: Honorable Mention for Stories of America/Stories of the Nations

Elem. Science: Third Place (tied) for 106 Days of Creation Studies

Art Appreciation: FIRST PLACE for Picture Study Portfolios

Domestic Science: FIRST PLACE (tied) for Laying Down the Rails

Congratulations to the SCM Team! Woo-hoo!!! Still smiling about that “Unit Studies” category win….WWCS? (What Would Charlotte Say?) Wink

Yeah, we didn’t get any choice on which category some of our products ended up in. We did suggest some corrections that made it into the final voting where they were able to flex.

By the way, we just added a new Award Winners category to our online store that shows all the products that have won awards.
