Ok, so 2 months out of commision put us WAY behind schedule, and knowing that I have a baby due at the end of this school year/start of next school year (we go year round), I rearranged our history schedule a bit.  So we’re up to the pony express, and the book I had originally planned on reading, we’re not going to because I know it will take to long to get through.  So, I was thinking of Riding the Pony Express by Clyde Robert Bulla.  Has anyone read that one? Is a good and fairly quick read, that will give them a taste of the Pony Express?  Does anyone have any other ideas for teaching an overview of the Pony Express?  Maybe a movie or an audio drama or a book on CD?  (After all these years, I still want to call them books on tapes!)

    Thanks!!

Here’s what’s available on Librivox – I haven’t listened to any of them.

At this website you can listen to the “Your Story Hour” audio drama about the Pony Express. There are 2 parts 🙂

Thank you Heather!!  That will be absolutely perfect!  The listened to Your Story Hour about Adonirom Judson, and we all really enjoyed it.  I had just stumbled across it on youtube.  I didn’t know that there was a place to listen to many of them!
