Has anyone done Plutarh with an audiobook? Thinking it would help me with pronunciation. Thoughts?

    Here’s one I am considering – http://www.audible.com/pd/ref=sr_1_2?asin=B004Y6M37E&qid=1361165514&sr=1-2

I was thinking of printing Ann White’s (from AO) notes and using with cd.

I want a hard copy, too, any favorites?

Hi, Christie!  I think an audio book sounds great.  We don’t use one because I’m not actually that good with audiobooks myself, but I have to confess to really struggling with the names and vocab.  I spend lots of time with my dictionary on Plutarch days!  The print version I use is the two-volume Modern Library set with the Clough revision of the Dryden translation.  I don’t know how similar that is to the text used by Blackstone as I’ve never compared the original Dryden with the Clough revision side by side.

DO use Anne’s guides for the ones available!  I really miss those!  It really cuts down on my prep, but we are now onto Lives Anne has not prepared guides for.  Sigh.

I’m going to use my Audible points and buy these. I think they will prove beneficial in many ways, provided the translation is good. I’m hopeful.
