One of the families in my local homeschool group is going through a very tough time right now. The mother, Lana, has breast cancer and physically things aren’t as good as they, or we, had hoped. However, they cling to Jesus as their hope and know that there is a reason and purpose for this as much as any joy.
Lana has a blog, and Eric, her husband, runs and online ministry. This past summer, Eric was asked by Nouvelle Vie to talk about this journey they are on. Please, take a moment to read Lana’s post here and view the short film clip which is embedded in the post.
Walk in joy that there is a hope and a future for us all.
Wonderful post and video….will pray for this family….and all who are on this difficult journey including our own Jenn..thanks for sharing,,, very meaningful.
Thank you, ladies. I hoped that this would give comfort to others who are walking a similar journey as well as everyone else. It was so shocking/breath-taking/earth-shattering to find out within the space of 3 days early this year that Lana had breast cancer, then to find that it had already spread, then that it was triple negative stage 4 to top it all off. I know others must be going through this as well, and for those that are walking this path with someone, Eric’s words in the video are uplifting as well.
Eric and Lana are really a very inspirational couple to begin with, and this journey they now travel has only made that become even more apparent. They hurt, and have tough days like everyone else, but they have this ROCK SOLID faith that draws people to them. They want use this time as they walk this journey to be a blessing to others… may you be blessed as they share from their heart the hope that they have in Christ.
