We’ve read Stuart LIttle and Chalotte’s Web this past year.  I started Little House in the Big Woods but we’ve gotten side-tracked.  I need to move into the longer books a little slower for various reasons so I’m using a book list resource and have come up with a few choices.  I like some and other’s I need to make sure they aren’t twaddle.  Please let me know your thoughts.

Two Times the Fun by Beverly Clearly

The Chalk Box Kid by Clyde Robert Bulla

My Father’s Dragon by Ruth Stiles Gannett

The Reluctant Dragon by Kenneth Gramme

The Water Horse by Dick King-Smith

    Wolf Story by William McCleery

James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl

    Thanks!

Looks good to me! Are you aware that My Father’s Dragon is the first in a series of 3? If your children enjoy the first, you might think about reading the other two, Elmer and the Dragon and The Dragons of Blueland.

We didn’t care for James and the Giant Peach but I’m just not a fan of Roald Dahl.  We loved all 3 in the My Father’s Dragon series.  The others we’ve not read.

LindseyD – I read the other 2 titles in that series and thought it sounded familiar.  Here, I just realized, we own Elmer and the Dragon and my son loved it.

Thanks for looking at my list.
