Casa Esperanza Child Sponsorship Program – Call to prayer!

Hello Ladies, I have just received an e-mail update from the children’s home that is a part of my parents mission in Guatemala. They are asking for people to pray and I know how many of you are very intersted in and conscious of ministry to orphans and children in need. My parents run a Christian home for children of abuse and neglect as well as orphans in Guatemala, Central America as part of their much larger missions organization. This is a very serious and sad situation with potential for catastrophic events in these children’s lives. Many of these kids have literally grown up in the Casa Esperanza home and view my parents as “Grandpa and Grandma” and the rest of the CE as their family. If this is continued and followed through with, it truly will be heartbreaking as well as physically dangerous. PLEASE PRAY! I have copied the e-mail below.

    A call to prayer!

We have some very harsh news to share with all of our child sponsorship partners. On Monday our social worker returned from a Court hearing for our newest little boy, Enrique.

The half hour appointment turned into a very long day in the city, so Rosita was able to hear the latest news concerning the fate of our children.

Apparently the Guatemalan government is making a ‘show’ of strength and power in regards to children that have been in Homes for extended periods of time. They are opening closed files on the children to find a parent or relative to accept responsibility for their kids. However, most of children were rescued from homes of abuse and neglect, so returning them to harmful situations makes no sense whatsoever. They are even threatening a four year jail sentence if parents do not take responsibility.

Today we were told to expect to receive papers for Paola’s removal from Casa Esperanza. The authorities plan to deport her to Honduras, however her mother and two older brothers are living here in Guatemala, so Paola would end up in a facility in a strange country with no family. Her two younger siblings are here with us in Casa Esperanza, but apparently when their files are discovered, they will be taken from us as well and given back to their mother who is unstable and unable to provide a safe home, education or the love and care that is required to raise healthy children.

We ask you to join us in prayer on behalf of our beloved CasaKids and the countless other children in Homes around the country. We need God to champion on their behalf to block this political nonsense,

to protect the children and keep them in safe Homes where they are loved, cared for, educated and happy. We need our Voice to be heard in the high political places, to keep these children safe.

Thank you so much for all you have done for these children over the years. The enemy wants to destroy what the Lord has accomplished in these kids’ lives, so let us stand together on their behalf and pray for God’s mighty hand of love to move!

Blessings to each of you always!

Thank you so much for your prayers! I just received this amazing news via e-mail and will copy it below. It really is quite miraculous! : )

This is such good news for Paola! Most of the kids at Casa Esperanza were taken from situations of severe physical and sexual abuse as well as neglect and to put them back into these homes or take them out of the loving and healthy environment that they are in presently is just so wrong! Please continue to pray that something will be done to change the decision that the government has made regarding all of these kids whose files have already been closed and are presently in safe homes. Thank you so much for your prayers! It means a lot to us! -Miranda

    Prayers Answered about Paola

We at Fe Viva have good news about the Judge changing the decision of removing Paola from Casa Esperanza. She will not be leaving.

This is absolutely the hand of God via your prayers to Him on Paola’s behalf. What an awesome display of the power of prayer in a seemingly irrevocable decision that is unjust and wrong in every way. We thank our Lord for hearing our heart and our prayers.

Thank you all for your prayers.
