I have been homeschooling for 14 years and have one child graduated who has gone on to be successful in college and Americorps. Because of these facts, I was hesitant to order the Planning Your CM Education DVD and planning book. I thought it wouldn’t be much use to me because I have been doing this so long and I know pretty well what does and does not work for us. On a whim, I decided to order it anyway. Well, it turns out I was wrong. It was extremely helpful to me. As I am working through the plans, I am evaluating the various resources I have planned to use and putting them in the appropriate spots for when we are going to use them. I have found the process to be freeing in a way. Having plans for the next 12 years written down means I don’t have to store all the plans and resources in my head. I have also found out where our gaps are and now I can use my time and brain more efficiently because I know the things I am looking for. I also found a few resourcesthat I had forgotten about.

So that’s my unsolicited and unpaid endorsement. I just wanted to offer my opinion in case any other home school vets might be considering the planning helps. It’s the best money I’ve spent on home school stuff in a long time.
