Planning recurring classes and field trips

    How do you schedule field trips, ballet class, art lessons, etc. into the CM Organizer?  If something is going to occur the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, for example, how would one schedule this in?  We have a hands-on class for homeschoolers at our local zoo on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month.  What about art lessons also?  How about nature studies?

    I just schedule it every day, and then check “worked on” on those days we do the activity.

    So if you click “worked on” instead of “completed,” it will keep it scheduled for every day originally scheduled?  I will have to then put in the specific days for my activity at the zoo, but that’s okay, I can do it a couple of months out easy.

    I schedule odd things on Saturdays so it doesn’t clutter up my daily schedule, but I can easily bring it up and click worked on or finished. Field trips usually go in on their specific days, but I sometimes use the Saturday trick for that, too.

    Thanks, Christie.  How long have you been using the CM Organizer?  I think I’m going to get spoiled with it once I get the hang of it!

    This is my 2nd year and I still tweak some things, but overall I LOVE it!Laughing

    Oh, Christie, so great to hear.  I am so excited.  I feel we are actually covering everything and not spending too much time on any one thing.  Much more diverse now that it’s all spaced out.  We can sit and simmer as long as we like on something without feeling “behind” like a traditional guide written on paper.  I always feel like I “have” to do something in writing!  Wink
