picture study success!

I am so excited, my children are getting so much out of picture study! I have always loved the CM method, and I’ve been using many of her ideas for over 10 years. This is the first year I’ve jumped totally in and am educating my 7 and 12 yo completely the CM way. This is the first time I’ve done picture study (the way Sonya teaches it), and we have had great results! This is our 4th week doing it. Before we did picture study today, I asked my kids to tell me about the other painting we studied the other weeks. They knew the names and could describe them in detail-and I didn’t leave them up! They only looked at the pictures for about 10 or 15 minutes each time! Three of the 4 weeks, my daughter drew a picute of the paintings on her own. My son did not. I just want to encourage you to try it if you haven’t yet. It really only takes 15 minutes of your week.
