Picture Proverbs DVD by SM Davis

    Just wanted to mention this DVD resource from SM Davis for anyone wanting to study Proverbs. I purchased this for my 12yo daughter who has some receptive language difficulties. The book of Proverbs is read verse by verse from the KJV, and along with each verse is a picture to help understand the meaning of the verse. There are some sound effects with it. We have started a verse by verse study of Proverbs and I am taking a verse/verses from each chapter for memorization and copywork. Some words that I think my daughter may not understand, we are using for vocabulary and look up meaning and write them in her notebook. We just finished chapter one and it seems to be going well. I am learning from it too:) The pictures bring about conversation for practical application, which adds greatly to our study.

    We are enjoying the Uncle Rick audio of Proverbs from Character Concepts.  He reads in KJV a passage and then defines words used and further explains and gives examples.

    Wings2fly – I think I missed your reply. I actually put aside Picture Proverbs for now and got Marilyn Boyer’s Kids of Character, which comes before Proverbs. I do want to pick up with Proverbs after we get through this one. I wonder if Rick’s audio would go nicely with Picture Proverbs. I was trying to explain some of the more difficult verses myself, but having him do some of that would help me out:) Thanks for mentioning this.
