i was looking over davinci and all the art he accomplished. How do you pick out what pieces to put in front of your kids. I would htink it would be too much to do all of them.

I agree! What an amazing artist and innovator. Here’s what we did when we studied da Vinci a few months ago:

MountainMamma.  I had to chuckle when I looked at your link.  My dh’s dad had nicknames for everyone.  Dh is “Bud” so our oldest son is “Little Bud,” and our youngest son is “Squirt.”

Sorry,  a little OT there.  😉

I’m sure you’ll have time to do more pictures as your dc grow.  Choose some now, I would lean toward the most recognizable first, and then do some others next time.

I would pick out some very distinctive ones that reflect his style. As your children learn and study those, they will learn some of the aspects that distinctively identify those pieces as da Vinci. Then when they see others, they will be able to “recognize” new pieces.

In addition to your picture study, leave a couple of books with some appropriate pictures in it lying about for general interest in free time or quiet time.

Sherez, I like hte idea of leaving books about for him. He dives into the stack we bring back from the library as soon as we hit hte door whether or not I have them out of hte bag.  He’s not even 3!
