Has anybody used this book? I bought it to use for SCM Year 4 personal development, but it appears to be written to the parents, not as a family devotional book. The first half is all about marriage conflict. Not sure how to use it as curricula. 😕

I believe Sonya recommends reading through it and then teaching the principles to your children. I found a Young Peacemakers workbook for middle schoolers at a half off sale recently. I plan on breaking it down and teaching maybe one principle a week for a term or something like that. Definitely need some peacemaking skills around here! Tongue out

I haven’t read that particular book, though I would think it promotes the same basic principles. When I did Peacemaking with my children, I attended a workshop with Ken Sande where he presented the basic principles of glorifying God through conflict, the slippery slope, the 5 A’s of confession, and the 4 promises of forgiveness. I explained them to the children a little at a time and we memorized the Scripture verses that go with them. Then we started using those principles as the framework to handle any conflicts that arose during the day.
