PDF ebooks on Kindle?

    I’m looking to purchase the Stories of America and am wondering if I can read it from my Kindle Fire (not HD). Does anyone know? I prefer reading from the Kindle over a large book and it’s cheaper! Any help appreciated!

    You can read any of our PDF books on a Kindle or other e-reader device. However, we recommend that you try the sample first, because e-readers scale PDF files to fit the screen. This can make books with larger page sizes difficult to read. The Stories of America books are 8.5 x 5.5 books, so they should be okay, but we still recommend testing the sample first.

    I just did this for the first time this week!  Just go to the Docs page on your kindle and it gives you an email address for your Kindle.  Just email the PDF as an attachment.  Easy as pie!!  I did PLL, which is a small book, so I didn’t have any issues with size.  Haven’t tried anything larger yet.  Good luck!

    We have a regular e-ink kindle so it may be different, but the page scaling makes a huge difference imo.  We have Letters from Egypt as an ebook and I really dislike reading it because the font is so small compared to most of the kindle formatted books I have.  I would get a sample first to try it out.

    Thank you momma-pajama! I’ve done this so now how do I find the book? Is there a delay for it to get loaded.

    Chantelle, look in the DOCS folder on your Kindle, the books may be in there.

    I just got a Kindle Paperwhite and have moved some PDFs over.

    It helps to convert PDFs to MOBIs first.

    I convereted the files, saved on my computer, then attached the MOBIs to my Kindle email-viola! No scale or format problems-love it!
