We use the Pathway Readers and we love them. I actually decided to start implementing Delightful Reading along with them to be sure that I cover enough phonics especially due to the hands on nature of the DR program. The readers themselves dont “teach” the phonics to the child is why. I actually have been using the PR workbooks and I have seen a HUGE improvement with my son with his handwriting and his reading comprehension. I bought the Climbing to Good English as their website suggests, but I returned it because it seemed redundant since I was using the workbooks. Another book to help with phonics is “Language Lessons for Little Ones” by Queen Homeschool Supplies. I think that I actually may go back to using LLfLO instead of using the Pathway Reader workbooks simply because it covers and explains some phonics rules, picture study, poetry, and punctuation in very short lessons.
