Yes, we have to keep vigilant and not let them sneak things through.
Some encouragement, in case any wonder whether your Reps. are paying attention to you:
We called our US COngressman today to ask his position on a specific Bill that was in the Senate currently that we are opposed to passing when it comes to the House. When my hubby called, the secretary didn’t know, so she asked if she could call us back. DH said yes and I then said that I’d be REALLY impressed if she called back.
Well, low-and-behold, she did! Not just once, either, but twice (because I missed the first one). She said she had tracked him down adn gotten his answer and it was the answer we wanted!! My hubby and I were so tickled, pleased and impressed.
So let’s not give up on the people we send there and let them know we stand with them on these hard decisions, sometimes going against their own party to do so. Who you send up there matters.
There are still some good people there in Wash. DC and I’m thankful that one of them is mine (and that I voted for him from the first primaries to the general).
Please don’t give up and become apathetic. It took only 10% of people from the Founding generation to argue for natural rights and liberty the first time; the majority usually go the wrong way or are neutral. That should be encouraging for us!
