Outdoor Secrets & Jack's Insects ?

    I am planning to use 106 Days of Creation this year and I’m very excited about it.  I saw Outdoor Secrets & Jack’s Insects on the Home page and loved them!   After looking at the samples they are really what originaly convinced me that this is what would make Science more fun for my daughter.  CM style!

    Anyway, I like a plan which is why I bought 106 Days.  Are these two books used in any type of Science plan or do people just fit them in where they choose?  I’m just curious.

    You just fit them in where you’d like.  We are going to use these on Nature Study days while we use 106 Days for ‘regular science’ days.  I’m very excited to begin those books as well.  I can’t decide which one to start with!  Undecided

    OOOOHH…Jacks Insects is really good!!! Laughing In 106 Days, lessons 40 – 42 are all about insects – might be fun to put it in there. However, it’ll fit nicely anywhere. Have fun!

    I must ditto Jack’s Insects – we have just read it for fun and have never laughed so hard at a “science” book – the insects are quite the characters – it is a great book!!!

    Quick question to those who have used Jack’s Insects.  What ages did you use it with?  I remember a warning about when the cicada gets eaten and wanted to know if that was a problem or not.
