I would like to start using the Challenges on the Handbook of Nature Study Blog. I see they are all available by season for free, or you can purchase an ebook of them for $8.95. The ebooks have notebook pages and a few other extras, but the general challenge is the same as the free lessons on the website (I think). Has anyone purchased the ebooks and are they worth the money for the extras (especially interested in the notebook pages) or would you just stick with the free challenges?

    Thanks,

Can you post a link to the free challenges. I have never seen them. Thanks.

Sign up for her post by email and you’ll get printables and monthly challenges attached at the bottom of each post she writes. The printables/monthly challenge is in PDF format and is the same all month long. Love filing them away for use as we’re interested.

Her previous challenges are archived on the website too. If you click on “summer” for example you will go to a page where you can choose to purchase summer challenge ebooks or you can click on the individual lessons and read the original post.

Those of you who use Barb’s OHC do you love it? What is your feeling of it? Is it terribly time consuming? My two oldest are 8 and 6 and I love the idea of it but never seem to be successful with such structured nature study, but I do long for more structure. Lol.
