Our Mother Tongue

    After reading a post that mentioned Our Mother Tongue, I looked it up and really liked it.  The summary I read stated that it was for ages 9-12.  If anyone has/is using this, what ages did you use it for?  I have a son 14, that I was thinking about getting it for.  I believe the first part would be just a review, but I feel he would learn a lot as we went through the book.  Any thoughts, suggestions, would be greatly appreciated. 

    Also do you use the answer key?  Thanks.

    I used this in 7th-8th grade. 

    No, I rarely used the answer key, but I have had a lot of grammar myself and felt fairly comfortable.  I did order it (it’s only a few dollars) but rarely used it.

    I haven’t used this yet, because I am planning to use it for 9th – 10th grade.

    Exodus Books lists it as “For 7th – 10th grade”.

    4byGrace – Thanks for the link.  I thought it looked like it could be for upper grades.  Thanks also to Bookworm for your response.  I am definately going to use it for my son next year (9th grade), I think it will be a good fit for him.
