I have Hashi’s too. I can tell when I’m swinging Hyper — I have no trouble getting out of bed and lots of trouble calming down in order to sleep!
Fitting the norm— we don’t here. We’re dairy farmers. And early in our marriage and when we started having babies, I decided we’d eat every meal together. That means breakfast at 8:30 (or 9:30) when my husband is done the morning work; dinner at 2:30 (or 3:30 or we get tired of waiting for my husband); supper at 7:30 (or 8:30 or 9:30, whenever his days’ work is done). Makes it harder to have company and to be company! OR to even just go away over those times. It seems like my girls are hungry, even if I’ve just fed them – all because it’s 2:30 and their bodies are used to eating at that time.
It also means we get to bed late as a family. I never put the girls in bed before my husband came home at night (so he could see them) and now they think they can’t go upstairs unless the whole family is going up!!! So, the vicious cycle is late to bed, late to rise… Ah, well. I’m hoping they’ll still grow up “normal”! *L* Whatever normal is!! *L* And my poor husband still has the same 4:00 am wake up time! I have no idea how he does it. I try to feed him right and encourage him to take naps!
