  • IDK how people feel about taking vitamins, and I know it would be best to get all your nutrition from whole foods, but if that’s not going to happen then I’m hoping to find vitamins that can be absorbed efficiently by the body.

Any recommendations (brands, etc)  on vitamins for mom and for kids? They’ve been taking Sea Buddies multivitamins. — they are content with that, but I’m due to get more so thought I’d see if there’s something better.  Something chewable for the kids, ages 5-10…although the 8 & 10yo are quite small for their age (yet another concern). Specifics are encouraged! Thank you!

I can only let you know what we use.  We use vitamins from Beeyoutiful.com   I have done a lot of looking and for the ingredients and the cost this is a good fit for my family.  The Super Mom’s I take one daily to every other day, even though they say daily but we eat a fairly healthy menu and feel like that’s the right amount for me.  If we eat out or something crazy we’ll take an extra dose.  I can ‘tell’ if I need another one, it’s so weird.  My dh is the same way.  The kids are a liquid form and until recently that’s all they had.  Now they have a chewable that is great for camping/traveling.  My kids love it.

Anyway.. that’s what our family has been using for over 3 years and many of their other products.  I have spoke to them on different occasions and they are wonderful.  I also use their makeup and have really liked it. 🙂

We use NOW Special Two. It’s the exact same thing as the Super Mom vitamins but for a much lower price. I get them through Amazon. My husband and I have been on them for years and they really do help us feel better. In fact, my husband had severe dermatitis on his hands and it completely cleared up when he started taking these vitamins. If he slacks off, it comes back so we keep well stocked.

Thank you both for your recommendations. So…do you think that I should actually be able to *feel* a difference when I am taking a quality vitamin that works for me? I’ve never felt different when I take a vitamin or don’t  And as for my kids…well, who knows….

I use Garden of Life Prenatal multi and others in my family use the mens, or family or kids chewable. I like that they have more whole food ingredients in them and less chemicals than most others. When money is tighter, I get Animal Parade chewable for the kids.

My kids also take a probiotic daily. The younger ones take Garden of Life’s Vitamin Code Raw Kids probiotic. A couple of them get sick often without it.

My teens take GOL’s Primal Defense probiotic, as do I. I feel lousy without probiotics. Multiple vitamins help, but probiotics are our most important supplement.

    I get them on Amazon.

Thank you! I will look into those too. 🙂   What  are the benefits of probiotics for you? the kids?

When my daughter was younger she often would vomit for a few hours in the morning. We thought she had stomach flu. Finally we figured out that it happened after she had missed a couple days of her probiotic.

My son as a baby was colicky and gassy without probiotics. He is two and still gets tummy aches without probiotics.

We use them for stomach flu too, in higher doses per Dr. Mercola’s online instructions.

For me it is about stomach issues and yeast overgrowth. I think we stay healthier overall with probiotics.
