I have not nursed in over a year. I have taken many pregnancy tests including blood test at my doctors that are all negative. I am heavy and full and having let down. Has anyone had an experiance like this when not pregnant or nursing. My doctors are scratching their heads and sending me to other doctors. I was just curious if anyone else has experianced anything like this.
I was thinking hormones as well and was surprised when my doctor order a mammogram. Oh, well at least we know there is nothing there. I’ll see what the next doctor has to say and voice my opionion if it is something different. The doctors seem to not like that though.
I have always stopped producing after nursing. That is how I knew something was off.
I don’t like it either, but I don’t want to be alarmist. I’m glad you are seeing medical professionals. I was trained as a midwife and am stumped to find a simple explanation. Blessings to you.
In reading my post above I see it can be read as more vague and hinting at something scary than I was intending. I hope you don’t read it like that bc that’s not what I meant.
I’m not to worried, other than the abnormality of it all. I haven’t had my hormone levels checked yet and will request it if the doctors don’t. I have thought it was my hormones since the whole thing started. The doctors request for a mammogram seemed more alarmist as it hinted at cancer, but even then I wasn’t really worried about it. I believe there is a cure for cancer and again I really didn’t think it was. I am more concerned about what is causing the hormones to be off if they are indeed off. But that will be a few more doctor visits before I know. I just wondered if anyone else had experianced anything like this since most doctors and nurses look at me like I am crazy when I tell them about it. One of the nice things about technolegy is the ability to tap into a world wide pool of information. 🙂 Thank you all for the input.
The new doctor I saw is leaning heavily toward Fibrocystic Breast Condition. My symptoms fit all the criteria. They are going to do a hormone test to check my pituitary gland, but aren’t expecting it to be off.
Aw, thank you Misty, I really apreciate it. It is actualy a good diagnosis. I have been fibrosy (lumpy) all my life and am used to it. Apperently now that I am in my 30’s and my hormones are begining to change, the fibristic lumps are just responding to it. It is something I will just have to deal with. It won’t require any meds or other actions as long as my pituitary hormones are fine.
(I am sure I misspelled all those medical type words. Spelling never was my stong suite. )
