We have recently went to using Natures Gate, Desert Essense and Fairy Tales for all our hair care needs.  My oldest son wants to let his personality shine more and wont let mom give him a buzz cut (6 boy/men heads to cut had to go with mom’s abilities).  So we are letting him grow it out.  He needs a stying gel of sorts now to get his hair to stand for the short spikes he wants.  But I can’t find anything from either of these companies.

For those who also care about what you put in your hair what do you use?  I don’t use any I use some stying hair spray from Aloe 80 but it doesn’t seem to hold his super thick hair.

    Thoughts.  Thanks

Giovanni has a mousse that works well, but you might have him give it the sniff test – might be a little too flowery for a teen boy. I used it when my hair was growing out from my chemo ‘do. They might have some other products as well, like a gel.

Mommypotamus has a homemade hair pomade recipe on her blog or on Pinterest. I can’t remember which. I’m sitting on the Tarmac in Jacksonville right now, or I would look it up for you. Looks simple though.

I think the one that Lindsey is referring to is a chia gel you make. It does look very easy, but I’ve not tried it myself, so don’t know how well it works.

If you aren’t excited about making chia gel, you could get the Kiss My Face Gel. Just know that a little goes a long way.
