I was wondering if you could help me figure out why my notes are not showing when I print out my reports. I am clicking on the “show notes” button, but still nothing happens.

    Thanks.

Hmmm, are you printing a Summary Report or a Detailed Report? Are the notes showing on screen, just not in the printout?

    Hi Sonya,

I am printing a Detailed Report. The notes are not showing up on the screen or the printed report. (?)

OK. Thanks for the additional info. I’ll ask the programmer to check into it.

My notes do show up on the screen, but if you print out a report the notes will only show up if the activity has been completed – if you’re still working on it the notes will not print out. I’ve taken care of the problem by just dividing up work into more “sections” and then completing them as opposed to working on them.

@all4purity: The programmer isn’t able to duplicate this problem. Are you still experiencing it?

Yes, I’m still having this problem. I tried what Rebekahy suggested and it does work. If I type in that I’ve completed the assignment, the notes will print, but if I say I’ve only worked on it…it won’t. At this point it only affects my Math lessons, but it would be great if I didn’t have to enter a new assignment each day.

Oh, I see. Yes, it’s set up to show Notes only for Finished assignments so it doesn’t duplicate the same Note on every Worked On date in the report.

Let’s see if we can figure out an easy way for you to record your Math lessons. Are you doing a set curriculum or creating your own as you go along? For instance, I’m at a stage with my youngest (with autism) that I’m never sure from one day to the next what she will be ready for in math. So I’ve created two resources for her: one called Counting and one called Adding. Those are the two topics that we’re working on. Then I put about 24 divisions in each called Activity. Each day I add a Note describing what we did for whichever topic/resource she was ready for and check off that Activity as Completed. Does that set up sound like something that might work for your situation?

Yes Sonya, what you described will work for our math lessons. Thank you for taking the time to lay it out for me!
