Maybe this is overkill, but I’m feeling like I need to do this – as in a separate entry for each subject’s narration so it pops up each day to remind us that we’re not done with such subject until that’s checked off too. Is this crazy? How do you all do it? I feel like my list is going to be a mile long. Is that a problem? (obviously new at the org 🙂
I have one subject I entered. It’s under grammar. Then it says narrations. Then in the feilds I entered Mon – typed, Tues – Writen – .. etc. That way it’s the same each day but it shows me where I will find their narration. It’s all on the same line also so that if we do or don’t do it one day it doesn’t mess up my schedule. It’s just there for each day every day. Hope that make sence.
I use the notes section to write what type of narration I want them to do for each subject. This way, if we are are having a busy day, I can lighten the types of narrations. I also can put in specific questions or topics I want my older children to write essays on. I like to check my children’s schedules daily so I can have fresh in my mind what they are doing so I don’t mind typing these in every day.
Another idea is to edit the divisions so the type of narration you want done will pop up with the title for the day.
Another way to do this is to use the study method in the Scheduler to note that a narration needs to be done. You can enter a custom method if you don’t see one that fits what you’re after. For example, you could schedule a book with the method of “read and narrate”. In the Daily Plan, you’ll see the book with that method listed on the assignment.
