I was wondering -when I add my “own resource” does it permanantly appear in the bookfinder for everyone else?
The reason I ask this is because some of the resources that I’ve added, I’ve put in my own “silly” divisions- example out of a huge 106 lesson book, I may have added only the last 20 lessons as divisions (because that is all I wanted to use) making it appear as though the resource only has 20 lessons when in reality it has 106.
That said, I wouldn’t want someone else to come along and find that book in the bookfinder, go to schedule it in the organizer for themselves and have it come up with only 20 lessons instead of 106.
When I did a search in the bookfinder for that particular resource that I added as “my own”, it comes up. So, I’m fearing all of my “own resources” that I’ve added will pop up for someone else and confuse them. I don’t want to do a dis-service to anyone here.
Oh, I do hope I’m making sense here. Please let me know if you understand my question and how to remedy it.

Heather, I don’t know for sure, but I am pretty sure that your resources that you have entered remain private for you – though I think Sonya may add some of our resources to the main data base if she thinks they are suitable and useful. I am sure someone else will tell you for certain – but I would not worry – I have also added resources that would make no sense except to me! Lindy

Your added resources remain in your personal Account. You can search for them in the Bookfinder search box, and they will appear if you’re logged in; but they appear only to you, not to everyone.
We do try to add to the global Bookfinder some resources that users have put in if we think they will be helpful to everybody. But those are carefully screened.
So don’t worry about it. Add as many “silly” resources and partial resources as you like. That’s what I love about the Organizer: each person can customize it to fit her family.

Ahaaaa – I got it now. I guess what threw me was when I searched for one of my “silly” resources in the bookfinder search box -it appeared and I wasn’t sure if that was just for me or if it was available to everyone.
I feel relieved now knowing I can add whatever I choose and how ever I choose. Yes, this is what I too love about the organizer. I sure hope that I get to keep our internet up and running! Thank you for putting me at ease. You are all so precious to me.
