    I was wondering what you ‘CM moms of Highschoolers’ think of this new writing program called “The One Year Adventure Novel”. I’m considering it for my almost 14 yo ds, who is beginning to show much interest in novel writing. I requested the free demo and watched it with him; He’s very excited about it. However, its a bit costly. If you have time to check into it, could you let me know what you think? Link is below

    At first glance, this looks interesting for a year. I’m sure you would want to continue his narrations as well, in order to give him practice in writing different genre, not just novels. But if he’s interested in this, it might be a good fit for a year of concentrated study.

    Heather, have you looked at Learning to Write the Novel Way? It’s old so probably this is improved. We used it a few years ago and it was somewhat hands-on for me the teacher.

    Sonya, thank’s so much for your thoughts on this. I agree with you that he will need other writing practice as well. He does seem interesed, however, so I’d like to have him catch the wind while his sails are up. Wink Thanks for encouraging us to go with his intererest!
