One of My Favorites!

    Hi, I’m new here, but I wanted to share one of my favorite quotes. I found it years ago as a needlepoint at an antique shop, now it’s framed on the wall of our den:

    “What need we teach a child…with our books and rules? Let him walk among the hills and flowers, let him gaze upon the waters, let him look up to the stars…and he will have his wisdom.”

    Mrsjamiesouth,

    I don’t know who wrote it, though it would be worth my time to find out, I guess! : )  It’s a beautiful needlepoint, with the picture of a tree with a child sitting against it, a dog and another child playing in the leaves. Full of little needlepoint leaves, clouds, & little birds flying overhead. I was so happy to find it, as it was a literal picture of how I wanted to school and LIVE!

    Oh, the picture sounds so nice as well.  Your right about it, thats  how I want to live and do school as well.
