I’m curious about the new math instruction book. Is it a how to teach the subjects step by step guide or is it a breakdown of CM’s approach to mathematics? I downloaded the sample and the book looked very good but it was a bit vague as to how to teach the subjects. Just curious what those who purchased it have thought so far.
I wrote the handbook in such a way that one could teach Elementary Arithmetic without having to purchase a curriculum or textbook and utilize manipulatives most likely found in one’s home. There is a Scope & Sequence and step by step instructions along with examples. It is a handbook though. If you have an existing curriculum it also specific on how to adapt that (from beginning arithmetic through Algebra and Geometry) to use Charlotte Mason’s methods.
Sarah at All That’s Good has read through the handbook and posted a review at her blog. You can find it here.
