We just rolled out another update to the tagging feature on the CM Organizer. As you start typing a new tag, previously used tags will appear in a menu for quick selection. You can choose one with your mouse or use your arrow keys and return. That should save some typing and help us all pick more consistent names for our tags.
When looking at added resources, or results of searches (or clicking on a tag) – could we get a spot to add a tag without having to go to edit resource? Then I could add tags I notice are missing a LOT faster…
That’s a good suggestion. We’ll have to weigh the time saving convenience vs the accuracy of making sure you’re on the correct resource by going to the edit page and adding additional “clutter” to the search listings.
Do you think this will still be much of a need after we all get past catching up on tagging because we haven’t had it before? It’s possible that after our initial surge of activity most tagging will be one resource at a time.
Hm, I suppose it would be the most use right now, and wouldn’t be needed as much if all your resources were tagged….
That said, I did a fair bit of tagging already, and when on the listings, I sometimes notice that I missed a tag on a resource I already tagged, and would prefer to be able to just quickly add it where I am…. I could also see at some point wanting to add a new tag to resources I already have….
What do others think?
