Need to vent..

I would direct her to watch youtube, “Stupid in America”.  It talks about how dumb the smartest students in America are. I was so happy to see this and pass it on regularly. When someone thinks the public schools are so great they need a reality check. When my sister-in -law started homeschooling I beleived I couldn’t ever do it. I said,” If God wants me to do it he will put it on my heart.” He eventually did and even provided the curriculm. He has led me step by step as he may need to lead her. 🙂  Another thing I say when someone talks to me about Socialization is, ” The only thing they are socialized in is being with their peers. They learn how to have the best clothes, videos, ect… They learn how to snub those that don’t have the latest and greatest. They learn how to disrespect adults and they learn how to get out of class because they are stuck in a desk all day being bored out of their minds They are not learning much in the classes. I know several people that graduated that don’t even know how to properly spell, or write a complete sentence.  You will see them agree with you. If that isn’t enough for them and they are still skeptical I just mention how they had to dumb down the tests for students in public schools because they couldn’t pass them.  I am sure there are not to many homeschoolers that have that problem. as a matter of fact homeschoolers usually test  higher than public school students. They usually agree and you never have a problem with them again. 🙂   You can also tell her that Homeschooling is growing bigger and bigger every year. You are not the one with strange kids. You are with the “IN” crowd.  🙂  ( Those of us that really love are children enough to make a sacrifice at all costs.” )  🙂
