I just wanted to ask fellow homeschoolers for prayers. I am going through a hard time; not only am I homeschooling my children (becuase I love it and refuse to give it up) but I am working one full time job and one part time job and I am trying to study for medical transcription so that I can stay at home and work and be with the kids all day! I would not recommend that anyone take on what I am doing. I have been working two jobs since last May and studying for MT since July of last year. I wanted to be done with the course by Easter but am only nearing the half way point with it. My house is a disaster and while my humsband is behind me 100% and helps with house work as much as he can it just never seems to be enough (although I don’t tell him this, because he tries as best he can and I’m to picky). Plus we’ve been sick with colds and flu etc. for going on three weeks now and it is dragging me down.
I am normally a very strong person but I feel like I’m finally reaching a breaking point and I need prayers to lift me up!
I understand! I work as well. It is hard. I am praying for you and will keep you in my prayers. I had vacation time in November and was at home with the flu and an ear infection the whole time. {{{hugs}}} May the Lord’s peace cover you and His Grace be overflowing!
Oh my, I can’t imagine having all that going on! Just prayed for God’s peace to surround you. This is from my devotion book (‘Jesus Calling’). Hope it’s encouraging. Blessings to you, hang in there:) Gina
“I am above all things: your problems, your pain, and the swirling events in this ever-changing world. When you behold My Face, you rise above circumstances and rest with Me in heavenly realms. This is the way of Peace, living in the Light of My Presence. I guarantee that you will always have problems in this life, but they must not become your focus. When you feel yourself sinking in the sea of circustances, say ‘Help me, Jesus!’ and I will draw you back to Me. If you have to say that thousands of times daily, don’t be discouraged. I know your weakness, and I meet you in that very place.” [Ephesians 2:6; Matthew 14:28-32]
Praying for your strength, remember though that if you work yourself into the ground you will be no use to anyone, recognize your need for periodic rest and breaks and perhaps take a little longer ovre the MT courses – just take care of yourself. Blessings, Linda
